About the Club

The Who? What? Where? When? Why? and How? but not necessarily in that order!

We are Deepings Camera Club, founded in 1985

and run by a pretty active committee aided by several other volunteers.

We meet at Deepings Community Centre, Douglas Road, PE6 8PA.

We are an eclectic group of photographers, male and female, young and old, beginners and experienced and all fifty shades in between!

We meet to enjoy, share and improve our skills and our love for photography.

We do this in many ways. We enter club competitions; regional and national ones too and also apply for awards. We listen to a variety of speakers as well as ask them questions. We also have practical sessions for the less experienced members..

We normally meet on a Wednesday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, September to May. We do have a refreshment break half way through the evening for socialising. Last summer we also met on Wednesdays in June and July at various local venues so that our more experienced members could help the less skilled with their photography. One Monday per month we have a workshop. Each time focusing on a different subject. These are also led by more experienced members with the appropriate skills.
